With the OnePlus Watch 3 released just a little over a year ago, it's about time for the Watch 4 to come around. And seeing that the device's certification has already popped up on EMVCo's website, launch is likely imminent.
In addition to the certification, which isn't all that revealing, Sudhanshu Ambhore on X unearthed some of the key specs that were not disclosed in the document. We are looking at the same Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset from last year, a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 466 x 466px.

Samsung is widely expected to launch the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 this year, to mark its predecessor's two-year anniversary. The most likely scenario is it being unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 was recently rumored to employ the just-announced Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC, which would differentiate the Ultra further from the Galaxy Watch9 it's supposedly launching with (as that model would... Rollable smartphone concepts have come and gone in the past few years, but we've yet to see an actual product using a rollable display (there are, however, rollable-screen laptops already). While the rollable smartphone concepts we've seen thus far have all rolled the screen out of the side, vivo has patented something else entirely - a rollable screen that becomes longer, not wider. In a very definitive case of 'not something that happens very often', Instagram has decided to remove end-to-end encryption (E2EE). It wasn't that long ago when Meta-owned properties like WhatsApp and Instagram were bragging about adding E2EE to their chats, but now one of them is headed in exactly the opposite direction. As you'd expect in trying to avoid a ton of online fuss regarding this matter, Instagram hasn't announced... Read more ›
