The biggest change is to the claimed battery stats – originally reported as being a 9,000mAh or bigger, the latest post from DCS says that the battery capacity will start with an 8. In other words, it will be between 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh.

Read more ›

The owls are not what they seem Read more ›

Last week, Anthropic boasted that Claude is now writing 80% of Anthropic’s code, which the company presented as a harbinger of a critical leap in artificial intelligence called recursive self-improvement. That’s when models are so capable that they can create the next generation of AI without human involvement. Excitement about recursive self-improvement seems to be in the air in Silicon Valley. Last month OpenAI sponsored a conference on the topic... Read more ›

Organisations are rapidly accelerating their adoption of AI, with appetite increasing by 90% over the past 12 months, according to recent CIO research; however, many are finding that ambition is outpacing their ability to manage the data foundations required to support it. The past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Budapest. Better yet, I was able to attend the biggest game in this season's club football – the UEFA Champions League Final, featuring French side Paris Saint Germain from France and England's Arsenal. The Steam Deck used to be the go-to x86 gaming handheld, but after the recent ridiculous price hike, it’s hard to recommend. There are alternatives like the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X, which launched last year at $1,000 (24GB/1TB). This used to be a lot of money, except the 16GB/1TB OLED Deck is $950 now. In our review of the Xbox Ally X, we pointed out some major cons for... Read more ›

Today, Apple released a new iOS update, dubbed 26.5.1. As the small incrementation implies, this is anything but a big one. In fact, its sole purpose is to fix one specific bug. That said, if you have encountered this bug, it sounds like it could be pretty nasty - it can basically prevent wired charging on the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models when the battery is nearly drained, according...
