This is inevitably going to compete with SpaceX's Starlink, which is currently the largest satellite constellation. Today, Amazon's VP in charge of Leo, Chris Weber, has just announced that over 390 Leo satellites have been deployed already, which is apparently enough "to support continuous... Read more

There’s a German idea that explains why the most globally dominant companies in their field are ones you’ve never heard of — quiet, family-run, mid-sized firms that would rather own an obscure world market than ever be famous

If you own a dog, there is a reasonable chance its retractable lead was made by a company called Flexi, based in a town in northern Germany, which by its own account and most industry estimates holds around 70 percent of the world market for exactly that product and does nothing else. Its founder’s stated ... Read more Read more

Democrats’ real plan to control Congress again

The political world is in a frenzy over left-wing challengers’ wins in New York City’s primaries Tuesday. Leftists are overjoyed, and think they’re beating back the Democratic establishment. After two successive women lost the race for president — and with the GOP increasingly claiming the testosterone-fueled “manosphere” — a lot of Democratic insiders are starting to worry the party is a bit too low-T. The US is better off than it was in 1976. So why does it feel worse?
