Google is introducing Nano Banana 2 today, also known as Gemini 3.1 Flash Image, following the release of Gemini 3.1 Pro not long ago. Nano Banana 2 is replacing Nano Banana Pro across the Fast, Thinking, and Pro models inside Gemini.
Nano Banana Pro will remain accessible to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers for specialized tasks via the three-dot menu. Nano Banana 2 is also headed to Google Search's AI Mode, where it will be available through the Google app as well as mobile and desktop browsers....
