YouTube relaunched the Premium Lite subscription almost one year ago, in March of 2025, and now it's announced some exciting new features for this plan.
While so far YouTube Premium Lite gave you "most videos" ad-free and nothing more, starting now there's also support for background play and downloads for "most videos".
