Ad market bouncing back faster than expected fueled by digital video

The advertising market may be recovering quicker than previously assumed, with online video leading much of the growth. That’s according to new figures from Zenith Media. Kahoot acquires language app maker Drops

Kahoot, the app that encourages people to make and share educational games, has acquired Drops, a language-learning start-up that uses puzzles and games to encourage users to learn. Mobile game app installs jumped 45% in 2020 because of COVID-19

Mobile gaming surged in 2020 due to a greater number of customers downloading apps during the pandemic. India has banned another 43 mostly Chinese mobile apps over allegations that they infringed on its sovereignty, integrity and security. Asia suffers highest rates in mobile malware

Mobile malware in Asia rose sharply during Q3 2020, according to data from Secure-D, the anti-fraud platform by Upstream.
