Read more

Dek: AI requires responsibility and intention to use well. Here are examples of how automotive retailers are implementing AI effectively and safely.  Remember the old Spider-Man quote?

Read more

Meta's Threads celebrates 500 million users with a bunch of new features

There was a time when many Twitter alternatives popped up, and Meta couldn't resist throwing its hat in this game too, with Threads. We tend to picture learning as something for the young, but a study of 416 Canadians over sixty found that those who kept taking courses reported greater well-being — the staying with it, not the subject, seemed to matter most

I caught myself thinking something the other day that I’m not proud of. A friend mentioned that an older relative of his had just signed up for a class, and my first reaction, the one I had the sense not to say out loud, was a quiet “what’s the point at that age?” It’s an ... Read more Read more

France To Stop Certifying Products Without Quantum-Safe Encryption

Starting in 2027, France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI will stop certifying security products that lack quantum-resistant encryption, effectively forcing government agencies and critical infrastructure operators to phase out older cryptographic systems. Reuters reports: Samih Souissi, ANSSI's chief of staff, said at the France Quantum conference that the agency would halt such certifications from 2027, and that businesses should be buying only quantum-safe products by 2030. ANSSI approval is required for use Read more

How the Iran war could drive conflicts in countries thousands of miles away

Comoros, an island nation of less than a million people, more than 3,000 miles away from Iran, might not seem to have much at stake, politically, from the current conflict in the Middle East. Donald Trump has never publicly mentioned it. It is neither an ally nor a target of the Iranian regime. But as […] Read more
