Consumer spend on dating apps 52% higher in 2021

Consumer spending on dating apps skyrocketed in January 2021, with users spending 52% more in Tinder, Bumble, Hinger and Plenty of Fish than in the previous year. Total spending amounted to some $55 million, compared to $37 million in 2020. That’s according to new data released by App Figures, which finds that pandemic lockdowns let to a spike in users downloading dating apps. Meanwhile, new dating apps have been flocking to the market. Among them is Snack, which merges TikTok features with those of dating
