Frore System’s solid-state AirJet Mini cools Intel’s Wildcat Lake laptop reference design – 15W of sustained, fanless cooling helps MacBook Neo competitor reach a svelte 11.3 mm, remain silent

Frore has worked with Intel to feature its AirJet solid-state cooling chip inside its much-hyped Wildcat Lake reference laptop. These laptops will need to stay slim, quiet, and affordable if they want to compete with the MacBook Neo, and the AirJet should help Intel fight Apple on at least two of those fronts.

Read more

Astronomers have finally cracked the mystery behind a strange class of repeating cosmic signals that has baffled scientists for years. Using Australia’s ASKAP radio telescope, researchers traced the bursts to a rare stellar duo in which a dense white dwarf is relentlessly siphoning material from a nearby red dwarf companion. As the stolen matter spirals inward, the system unleashes powerful radio waves and X-rays every 1.4 hours. Read more
