Honor launched the Win and Win RT in December, and today a new rumor from China sheds some light on their successors. Let's start with the range-topper, which we'll call Win 2. This one allegedly has a 6.89-inch screen with "2K+" resolution and 185Hz refresh rate. The panel technology is probably LTPS.
The phone will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC, though it's unclear if it will be the normal version or the Pro. The Win 2 will get a battery of at least 10,000 mAh capacity, as wel

IEEE Spectrum argues that orbital data centers remain far from economically or technically practical despite Elon Musk's prediction that space will become the cheapest place to run AI within a few years. Deploying SpaceX's proposed million-satellite constellation would require enormous increases in launch and manufacturing capacity, while cooling, radiation, maintenance, latency, orbital debris, and astronomical interference present major unresolved obstacles. Exactly one month after they were announced in China, Oppo’s Reno16 and Reno16 Pro are now making their way to the global markets, but not without some changes. The major one is the choice of chipsets, where the global Reno16 Pro is bumped down to a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super, compared to the Chinese version’s Dimensity 9500s. The vanilla Reno16 gets a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 under the hood. The... Read more ›

You may be wondering – how many Lava phones are there with the Unisoc 9863A chipset (28nm), a 6.75” 720p+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera? The answer to this (slightly odd) question is at least 5. Wait, make that at least 6. The new – well, “new” – Lava Smart 4 Plus is an Android 15 Go Edition phone that offers 4G-only... Read more ›

Say hi to the Galaxy A27 5G. It's very much a modest update over the Galaxy A26 that mainly focuses on the design with a slight performance boost on the inside. Upfront, the Galaxy A27 is technically identical to its predecessor with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. What's different is the way the selfie camera is integrated - gone is the teardrop notch, replaced with a... Read more ›

It's time for the international release of Oppo's Reno16 series, and we've got the Reno16 Pro for unboxing. The global Reno16 Pro is closer to the Chinese Reno16 than to the Chinese Pro, which means it's a 6.32-inch phone, and not a 6.78-inch one. The global Reno16 Pro is also close to its global counterpart, the Reno16. It's easier to name their differences than their similarities. The Reno16 Pro has... Read more ›

Oppo is launching the Enco Air5s, its first “semi-in-ear” buds. This means that the in-ear part of them is plastic without a rubber ear tip. This design makes for more comfortable wearing experience (and it helps that the buds are lighter too), but it doesn’t seal the ear canal fully. If you prefer the more traditional design, there is the new Oppo Enco Air5 (no “s”). The Air5s are some... Read more ›

The Apple iPhone Air is a very Apple product, if that makes sense – the phone sacrifices a lot to hit its design target of 5.6mm thickness and 165g weight. While it is hardly a battery endurance champ, the Air makes up for it with a unique feeling in the hand for anyone who has only used thick and heavy smartphones. At 165g, the Air weighs more like a 6.3”... Read more ›

Oppo unveiled the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro in China last month, and today the brand announced these phones for international markets, though with some spec changes. Additionally, Oppo introduced the Reno16 F and Reno16 FS as the newest members of the Reno16 series. Let's talk about the Reno16 F first. The Oppo Reno16 F is built around a 6.57" 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display with 10-bit color depth, 1,400 nits peak... Read more ›

Over time, small-screened flagships settled on a 6.3” size display. However, that number alone doesn’t tell you much about the phone – case in point, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Xiaomi 17 are very different and both of them are on sale for Amazon Prime Day. The Samsung Galaxy S26 is the safe choice – it has sold millions and the very, very similar S22 through S25 models have as... Read more ›

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S27 surfaced in the GSM Association’s IMEI database, with the model number SM-S925U. Today, its siblings have shown up over there as well. We're talking about the Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra, but also the much-rumored Galaxy S27 Pro. This is pretty much confirmation that the Pro is real. It has the model number SM-S957B/DS, the S27+ gets SM-S956U, and the S27 Ultra... Read more ›

It’s day 3 of 4 of Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale and it’s important to keep in mind that deals don’t stay the same – for example, on day 1, a 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra was $950 and a 512GB model was $1,150. Today, both versions cost $30 less. Here’s how the S26 Ultra compares against its predecessor, against the iPhone 17 Pro Max and against the Pixel 10 Pro... Read more ›
