Anthropic is in advanced talks to acquire developer tools startup Stainless for at least $300 million, according to a person with knowledge of the deal.
The four-year-old Stainless sells software to model makers including Anthropic, OpenAI and Google that helps developers, non-technical people and AI agents more quickly access AI models. Such software has been in particular demand as AI agents—such as Claude Code and OpenClaw—become a more popular way to automate tasks.
