Samsung Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 listed at another store, prices and specs revealed again

The Samsung Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 will be made official in less than 24 hours, but some stores can’t wait that long. Yesterday, we saw the two models listed in South Africa and today they have surfaced at a store in Kenya.

The Galaxy A37 shows three memory configurations: 6/128GB, 8/128GB and 8/256GB. The store only lists a pricing range instead of individual prices, KES 39,000 to KES 57,000. This converts to $300 to $440, but each region shows different prices since there are different local taxes..

Akai just released a portable and relatively budget-friendly MPC sampler

Akai just revealed specs and other details about the MPC Sample after teasing the gadget earlier this month. This is a portable sampler and groovebox that looks eerily similar to Teenage Engineering's EP series. It also resembles some legendary Akai gadgets from decades past, including the MPC3000 and MPC60. In other words, it's easy on the eyes and sort of looks like a Super Famicom. It seems pretty capable. The... Read more

Why AI Coding Agents Need Multiple Personalities to Do Their Best Work

Something curious is happening with AI coding agents. Developers have started telling me they’re asking these coding agents to take on different personas so they behave like more of a team than an individual programmer. For instance, a developer creating a software product feature will first tell their AI coding product—whether it be Gemini or Codex—to act as a “product manager” that creates a document outlining what the feature is meant... The MPC Sample is my new favorite portable beat maker

Akai MPC is one of the most storied names in music history. But over the last decade, it's strayed pretty far from its roots as a humble sampler. The modern MPCs run virtual synthesizers, have complex arrangement tools, and sport large touchscreens. They have more in common with your computer running a DAW than they […] Read more

Samsung starts buying Chinese display panels for its mid-range smartphones

According to a new report from Korea, Samsung is diversifying its display supply chain. This creates a funny situation where Samsung (Electronics) will stop buying screens from Samsung (Display) for some mid-range devices, instead opting to purchase from CSOT, owned by TCL.
