Yesterday, Xiaomi announced the 17 Max, and today there's already a full teardown / disassembly video on YouTube showing all of its insides, courtesy of the Chinese channel WekiHome. While the video is in Chinese, we find YouTube's English language captions very good, so make sure you turn them on if you don't speak Chinese. The Xiaomi 17 Max is a rather surprising arrival, since it's the first Max in... Read more ›

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has just published documents related to an apparently unreleased Apple product with model number A3577, with the product described as "Bluetooth over-ear headphones." These headphones do not appear to be the AirPods Max 2, which carry a model number of A3454, and there is little other information to go on, so it is unclear what these headphones are. Most of the documents that would reveal... Read more ›

Aikido Security found that deleted Google API keys can continue authenticating for a median of about 16 minutes and as long as 23 minutes, despite Google Cloud's UI claiming that once a key is deleted it can no longer make API requests. The sentence: "An Amazon television show video game tie-in" is about as big a red flag as a two star hygiene rating on a kebab van. You would not be at fault for looking at Invincible Vs with narrowed eyes. However, would you believe it, Invincible Vs is an exceptionally enjoyable game. Not only does it do wonders as an adaption, it might just be one of the best fighting... Read more ›

American composer Gordy Haab is a force to be reckoned with, pun absolutely intended. His catalogue of video game work includes composing scores for the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Squadrons and, most recently, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. He is arguably our generation's John Williams, perfectly encapsulating everything we have heard and loved from those iconic scores gone before, but... Read more ›

For all its rip-roaring Indiana Jones adventure, its ancient civilizations and pulpy supernatural peril, Call of the Elder Gods' true heart is perhaps its tatty leather-bound journal. That won't be a surprise to anyone that's played Call of the Sea, its well-received predecessor, but it's gratifying to see that - for all this follow-up's bigger, bolder ambitions - the original's first-person narrative charms and smart, deductive spirit remains.
