GameShare just took me from interested in Switch 2's beautiful co-op space opera Orbitals, to overwhelmingly excited

Right, any game that looks like you let the artisans from Studio Ghibli or Cowboy Bebop makers Sunrise make a Daft Punk video is immediately going to pique my curiosity. Layer on some puzzle-heavy, playful-looking co-op gameplay, and you've got my attention. Tell me I can play it with my partner, across two Switches, for the entry price of just the one game, and I'm sold. Day one with bells on. Read more

Psychology suggests that men who were told “man up” as boys don’t just suppress their emotions — they develop a pattern of harmful avoidance and it’s misread as strength

Three generations of men in one family discovered that what they'd always called strength was actually a learned silence that left them unable to say "I love you," admit when they were hurt, or recognize their own heart attacks coming. Read more

Read more

PUBG's new co-op PvE mode, Xeno Point, offers a strange vision of a post-battle royale future

For readers of Eurogamer, it may have been a while since you last read much in depth about PUBG - or indeed PUBG Battlegrounds (redundant subtitle duly acknowledged by publisher Krafton) as it's now known in its post-Brendan Greene form. PUBG is now the brand, Battlegrounds the game, and specifically it's the battle royale one we all played, often obsessively, in its early years. Read more Read more

After five hours with highly anticipated pirate survival game Windrose, I can see why it's one of Steam's most wishlisted games

I worried about Slay the Spire 2 before its early access release because everything I saw reminded me of the original. I understood there were differences, but they didn't seem big enough or pronounced enough to warrant a new game.
