Black Friday tech deals include the DJI Neo drone on sale for $159

If you've been interested in a drone but have yet to take the plunge and buy one, Black Friday deals present a compelling case to pick one up. In particular, we're recommending the DJI Neo drone, which is down to $159 on Amazon for Prime members only. That's 20 percent off and a great deal, considering its regular price is $200. How to wirelessly charge your phone with max power

Wireless charging has become one of those small but satisfying conveniences of modern smartphones. You drop your device on a pad and watch the battery percentage climb without fiddling with cables or ports. Yet for many users, that effortless charge doesn’t always come at the speed they expect. Researchers found that tau proteins don’t jump straight into forming Alzheimer’s-associated fibrils—first they assemble into soft, reversible clusters. When the clusters were dissolved, fibril growth was almost entirely suppressed. This reveals a promising new strategy: stop the precursors, stop the disease. Read more

Electrons can freeze into strange geometric crystals and then melt back into liquid-like motion under the right quantum conditions. Researchers identified how to tune these transitions and even discovered a bizarre “pinball” state where some electrons stay locked in place while others dart around freely. Their simulations help explain how these phases form and how they might be harnessed for advanced quantum technologies. Read more
