Advertisers Plan Cuts to TV Advertising As Economic Worries Mount

Google and Meta Platforms have signaled they’re not seeing much pullback by advertisers worried about the economy, but it’s likely to be a different story for TV networks and video-streaming services. TV ad sales executives and ad buyers say marketers are already indicating plans to cut back spending on entertainment and news programming by as much as 10% in the coming year.

Sports programming is likely to withstand the downturn, reflecting the value advertisers put on running commercials during live sport
