Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition feels like Nintendo for the TikTok era

Between WarioWare, NES Remix and Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition, Nintendo has a real thing for chopping its games into pieces. Tiny pieces, quite often. When it comes to Nintendo World Championships, the unwieldy name is easily the lengthiest single thing about it. For the rest of the game, it's, what, 10 seconds, 50 at a push? This is Nintendo doing TikTok, Nintendo in the editing suite. And it's fascinating.Nintendo... Read more ›

You can now wrap your hands around Wolverine's bum if Deadpool's not for you

The internet was all in a flap last week after Microsoft promised to place Deadpool's pert posterior into the hands of a lucky few by way of a new limited edition controller. But if red spandex doesn't do it for you, there's now a second, complementary butt in town, courtesy of a bright yellow Wolverine-themed Xbox Wireless Controller. Both controllers (as you've probably already guessed) have been created to promote... Read more ›

DF Weekly: Intel has a CPU instability problem - and it's time for answers

It's a packed DF Direct this week, with 15 discussion points over 135 minutes - but it's the state of play with Intel's 14th and 15th generation Core products I'd like to focus on this week. I highly recommend watching this video from Level1Techs to get some idea of the challenge facing Intel here - it seems that the most performant CPUs within the Raptor Lake line-up are exhibiting instabilities... Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure review - ingenious challenges with the lightest of touches

One of my favourite things in games is when the world wraps around. It's a simple kind of magic, and it's been there since the bright, fizzing days of the arcades, and yet I never even come close to getting tired of it. You race all the way to the right of the screen, and then - wow! - you're suddenly back at the very left. You run all the... Read more ›

Wandering around Watch Dogs 2's San Francisco in REAL VR is simply stunning

Hey all, sorry for the lack of VR Corner blogs here on Eurogamer these last few of weeks. It's been rather hectic in video land recently and I also had a few days off here and there (selfish, I know) which made it hard to find time to put together site posts. I haven't been so slack over on the YouTube channel though, so here's a little rundown of the... Read more ›

Homeworld 3 review - satisfying strategy and impeccable space vibes, with caveats

Homeworld 3 developers Blackbird Interactive proved both their design chops and their love of the Homeworld franchise by creating Deserts of Kharak in 2016, a game that started out as a cheeky unauthorised take on the Homeworld space strategy formula on dry land and ended up a critically-acclaimed official part of the series with the blessing of new brand IP owner Gearbox.
