Epic Games is reportedly laying off around 900 employees

Fornite maker Epic Games is reportedly laying off around 900 employees according to Bloomberg - a number said to equate to roughly 16% of it total workforce. Citing a "person familiar with the matter", Bloobmerg says employees were informed of the widespread layoffs in a "memo to staff". Xbox game captures will be deleted after 90 days following new update

Creative Assembly responds to news of Hyenas' cancellation

Creative Assembly has begun a redundancy consultation process following news its Sega-published game Hyenas has ended development, admitting this "may, unfortunately, result in job losses". Earlier this morning, Sega announced the looter shooter had been canned, just days after its recent PC closed beta ended. Baldur's Gate 3 latest hotfix doesn't address dismissed companions dumping their belongings on you

Steam key geo-blocking infringed EU competition law, court finds

Valve has failed to convince the European Union's Court of Justice that it did not infringe EU law by geo-blocking activation keys on Steam. Five other video game publishers were also found to have breached anti-competitive practices: Bandai Namco, Capcom, Focus Home, Koch Media and ZeniMax.
