Counter-Strike 2 now available

Valve has launched its revamp of Counter-Strike, which it calls Counter-Strike 2. Based on the company's newer Source 2 graphical engine, Valve says the new release is "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history". Valve says CS2 includes improved lighting, textures and mapmaking tools, "overhauled" and "updated" maps, new visual effects, reworked audio, a "tickless" server and a new in-game ranking system. PlayStation boss Jim Ryan is retiring in March

Sony has announced PlayStation boss Jim Ryan will be retiring next March, after nearly 30 years with the company, having joined in 1994. Ryan - whose official job title is president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment - took charge of the PlayStation division back in February 2019, having previously headed up Sony Computer Interactive Europe. Far Cry 7 will reportedly see players attempting to rescue their kidnapped family against the clock
