Travel app downloads up 14% in H1 2021

Travel app downloads jumped 14% to 143 million in H1 2021 compared to the previous year as a growing number of consumers are getting vaccinated and return to travel. While Facebook apps were down, sessions and installs of Snapchat and Telegram jumped

While Facebook apps were down last week, consumers took the chance to find other social media and messaging apps to spend their times with. Consumer spending in eCommerce apps climbs 55%

Retail spend using mobile devices rose 55% during the Q4 2020 holiday season and is expected to remain strong this year. Twitter sells in-app ad unit MoPub to AppLovin

Twitter is selling MoPub, it’s in-house in-app monetisation business, to AppLovin in a $1.05 billion cash deal. The micro-blogging site originally paid $350 million for the company eight years ago. Consumer spending for Disney+ skyrockets beyond $1.5 billion

The Disney+ streaming app recently surpassed $1.5 billion in consumer spending according to estimates from Sensor Tower. With Apple finally allowing iPhone users to rate pre-installed apps, it seems News, Calendar and Mail are everyone’s least favourite apps. Food delivery app installs continue to grow

Gaming now makes up 50% of total user acquisition spending across various app verticals. APAC companies spent the most at 64%, followed by North America (57%) and EMEA (39%).
