Language app downloads jump 71% in Ukraine

As over 2 million Ukrainians have fled to neighbouring states in light of the ongoing attacks from Russia, downloads of top translation apps jumped 71% month-on-month. Instagram has added a feature that lets users manage their live broadcasts. The livestream moderator feature will allow users to assign a moderator during a livestream. Moderators are able to report on comments, remove viewers and turn off comments for specific viewers or remove the option for select viewers. Instagram takes down Hyperlapse and Boomerang apps

Instagram seems to be having a bit of a clear-out this month. Google Play banking trojan stole user data and passwords

A banking trojan that stole users’ passwords and data was recently discovered on Google Play by Cleafy, the online fraud management and prevention solution. Consumers are increasingly using mobile devices to communicate with retailers

Klarna added 60 million users in 2021, but losses quadrupled

Buy now, pay later provider Klarna saw its revenues, usage and gross merchandise volume all increase in 2021, but losses more than quadrupled in the same period.
