Average number of apps used recovers in 2021

The pandemic saw a big shift in app usage patterns, arguably driven by continuing lockdowns. Hypercasual genre accounted for over 50% of mobile game downloads in 2021

In 2021, the hypercasual genre ascended to new heights in terms of downloads, accounting for over 50 percent of total mobile game downloads. The top 1000 games in the genre were downloaded over 15 billion times. Food delivery tech group Swiggy raises $700 million to expand app reach

Swiggy the Indian food delivery tech group just raised a whopping $700 million in a Series K funding round bringing its total valuation to a whopping $10.7 billion, surpassing that of rival Zomato.
