Consumers are spending 41% more in top non-game subscriptions apps

Revenues across the top 100 non-game subscription apps jumped 41% last year – from $13 billion to $18.3 billion worldwide. That marks a rise of 7 percentage points compared to 2020 when spending climbed 34% from $9.7 billion, finds Sensor Tower. Google launches Checks to ease app development compliance

Gaming apps spent big on user acquisition in 2021 as 10% of budgets shifted from iOS to Android

The number of gaming app installs on Android rose 22% last year according to new data released by app experts AppsFlyer. Language app EWA celebrates 51 million downloads and raises $2.7 million

Language learning app EWA just surpassed 51 million downloads and raised $2.7 million in a first funding round led by Day One Ventures, Elysium and angels. Facebook launches Reels worldwide and adds new advertising tools

Users will spend $200 million on dating and social discovery apps in Q1 2022

European mobile app users spent more than $780 million on dating and social apps in 2021, a 30% rise year-on-year.  That’s according to new figures by Sensor Tower which anticipates that Europeans will spend more than $200 million on in-app purchase in dating and social apps in Q1 2022 alone. Google to launch Privacy Sandbox for privacy-enhanced app and mobile advertising

Crypto app installs surge during Super Bowl weekend

During the US Super Bowl installs of cryptocurrency apps spiked 279% compared to the previous week, according to research from Sensor Tower.
