More than 3,000 apps could be removed by Apple App Store

An estimated 3,000 apps could be pulled from the App Store in a sweep to remove apps that are no longer being updated by developers. YouTube adds Super Thanks to monetisation program

App usage grew 36% over the last two years

App growth in the UK peaked at 52% in January 2021 compared to other countries.  That’s according to new research from Amplitude which shows that overall app usage jumped 36% between the start of 2020 and the end of 2021 while website usage grew 57%. Google Play Store now has a million fewer apps than four years ago

There are now around one million fewer apps on the Google Play Store than four years ago, according to a new analysis from tradingplatforms.com.
