GTA 6 developers at Rockstar Games pushing to pursue official union recognition following 2025 sackings: "The union is now stronger than ever"

Grand Theft Auto 6 has finally locked its 19th November release date and pre-orders are now open. It should be cause for celebration, but with the lack of a proper physical release and after the firing of employees last year (a move considered to be "union-busting" by former and current staff), Rockstar Games is getting as much bad attention as it is good. Now, the workers union coming together at... Read more

Flappy Bird:

Read more

Every industrial revolution has been shaped by physical assets. Coal fuelled the nineteenth century. Steel defined the twentieth. Artificial intelligence will define the twenty-first, but despite its digital image, AI is ultimately constrained by something very familiar: land, energy and infrastructure. The Supreme Court is about to decide if children still have free speech rights

It’s not a great time to be a parent. Young people get their information from platforms that did not exist just a few years ago and that many adults have never even heard of. Many parents, who did not grow up using TikTok or even YouTube, do not know how to counsel their children on […] Read more

The fall of Britain’s prime minister is a warning for America

Since Donald Trump’s 2024 victory, the Democratic Party has been embroiled in a vicious internal conversation over “moderation.” One camp argues that the party has moved too far to the left on cultural issues, particularly immigration and trans rights, and that it needs to tack to the center in order to secure its long-term political […] Read more

The shallow authoritarianism of Trump’s Reflecting Pool

What should one make of the president’s mounting obsession with the Reflecting Pool? On the surface, it’s ridiculous. Noting that the pool was full of algae and not reflecting as well as it should, President Donald Trump launched an expensive beautification effort — repainting the bottom and trying chemical treatments to treat the algae. The end […] Read more

How Trump’s redistricting could backfire

The dust from the first round of the “redistricting wars” — the unusual mid-decade redrawing of congressional maps in search of a partisan edge in the 2026 midterms — is settling, and Republicans have a clear advantage: about 10 congressional seats, give or take. But that clear-cut number obscures something else. While the GOP may […] Read more
