Northvolt Secures €4.6B for Gigafactory Expansion, Recycling

Swedish battery producer Northvolt has successfully raised an impressive €4.6 billion to increase the capacity of Europe’s first native gigafactory and advance its battery recycling initiatives. The funding will enhance cathode production and cell manufacturing at Northvolt Ett, the company’s facility in northern Sweden, and support the development of the nearby recycling plant, Revolt Ett, which is nearing completion. Recovering battery-grade metals with a carbon footprint 70% lower than raw mined material
