Boomers used more mobile technologies during pandemic lockdowns

A majority of technology users (92%) aged 55 and older increased their tech usage during the pandemic because of boredom. According to a survey of over 1,000 respondents by Hyland, around 71% said that their tech usage was higher during the pandemic and 44% even said it was significantly higher because of boredom. While boredom was cited as the biggest reason for increased technology use, some 34% also cited remote work and 29% said it was a primary way for them to shop during lockdowns. When it comes to te
