Read more

Google's Anti-search-scraping Lawsuit Dismissed

A U.S. district court "has dismissed Google's case against SerpApi over that company's scraping of search results to train AI models," reports Computerworld.

Read more

Read more

Read more

Samsung Is the New Memory Chip Underdog—for Now

A sell-off in the triumvirate of memory chip stocks this month—Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron Technology—has presented investors with a fresh opportunity to get exposure to the fast-growing sector. The last thing a consumer pondering the purchase of a new electric truck might think about is the origin of the 17-digit vehicle identification number that vehicle authorities everywhere use to keep track of cars and trucks. For Chinese long-haul truck startup Windrose Technology, though, the VIN numbers put on a handful of its trucks shipped to the U.S. turned out to be a problem. By March last year, Windrose... The Debate About Chinese Open-Source AI; Ellison’s Bad Day

How protectionist is the Trump administration? Sure, President Donald Trump loves tariffs. But does he really want to drive up AI costs for U.S. business by banning Chinese open-source AI?
