There’s a specific exhaustion that has nothing to do with how much you did today, it tracks how many different versions of yourself you had to become between breakfast and dinner

The tiredness that doesn't match what you did all day isn't laziness or a sleep problem. It's the cost of switching between different versions of yourself, and the research on mental fatigue is starting to explain why. Read more

ChatGPT’s image generator is changing the rules – and I am not entirely comfortable

The latest image generator from OpenAI is undeniably powerful, and that much is hard to dispute. It interprets prompts with a level of depth that feels closer to collaboration than execution, renders clean and usable text within images, and produces outputs that look less like drafts and more like finished products. But the real shift […] Read more

Microsoft Comes Out of OpenAI Deal a Winner; Risks in AI Financing

Microsoft and OpenAI had big news this morning but before we dive into that, it's fair to say there’s a lot of excitement among investors (and reporters!) about the upcoming SpaceX IPO. But some people have a refreshingly realistic assessment of the situation. “There’s a trillion ways this can go wrong,” said Ashley MacNeill, co-head of capital markets at investment firm Vista Equity Partners, at The Information’s Financing the AI... SpaceX and AI IPOs Hold Risks for AI Buildout, Say Investors at AI Event

With AI and big tech firms seeking to raise hundreds of billions in equity and debt this year to build data centers, any high-profile misstep could throw the broader AI boom off track. That includes the potential public debuts of SpaceX and possibly AI firms Anthropic and OpenAI. Poor performance from those initial public offerings could dampen broader enthusiasm for AI investment, according to a speaker at The Information’s AI... Read more

Adversaries injected malicious prompts into legitimate AI tools at more than 90 organizations in 2025, stealing credentials and cryptocurrency. Every one of those compromised tools could read data, and none of them could rewrite a firewall rule. The autonomous SOC agents shipping now can. That escalation, from compromised tools that read data to autonomous agents that rewrite infrastructure, has not been exploited in production at scale yet. But the architectural conditions... Looking at enterprise AI adoption, VentureBeat has anecdotally observed a fairly wide divergence when it comes to specific roles: For those who build—engineers and developers—the arrival of AI has been transformative, moving through the workflow with the speed of tools like Claude Code and Cursor to automate the heavy lifting of syntax and architecture. Yet, for those who sell, the "revenue stack" has remained a fragmented collection of data silos,... Read more

Most orchestration frameworks were built for agents that run for seconds or minutes. Now that agents are running for hours — and in some cases days — those frameworks are starting to crack.Several model providers, such as Anthropic with Claude Code and OpenAI with Codex, introduced early support for long-horizon agents through multi-session tasks, subagents and background execution. However, these systems sometimes assume agents are still operating within bounded-time workflows... Read more
