It sounds as though developer Insomniac's Wolverine game is far narrower in scope than its Spider-Man games. There won't be a wider city to explore in the way Spider-Man swings around New York, nor will there be a base of operations for downtime between missions (any hopes of exploring Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters have been squashed now Insomniac has confirmed the X-Men don't exist here). In Marvel's Wolverine, the... Read more ›

It's almost impossible to avoid seeing AI-generated content online, but it doesn't have to be this way. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more have ramped up content authentication efforts over the last year, with many now automatically applying labels to distinguish AI-generated images, videos, and music from those made by real, human creators. That's all very […] Read more ›

Illinois lawmakers on Wednesday passed a landmark AI safety bill (SB 315) that would require major AI companies to publish safety plans, submit annual third-party testing reports, report serious incidents quickly, and protect whistleblowers who flag emerging risks. Ars Technica reports: To force companies to be more transparent... Read more ›
