Kena: Bridge of Spirits' Switch 2 port is fine, but doesn't offer an upgrade over handheld PC or last-gen experiences

It came as no surprise, then, to hear the charming and well-crafted Kena: Bridge of Spirits was making the jump to Switch 2 on 26th March. Read more

It's safe to say Crimson Desert is a success with 3 million copies sold (so far) and substantial patches coming in hot. But it's hard to fix a narrative and quest structure that was described as "fatally undercooked" by Lewis Gordon in Eurogamer's own review. Now, we've learned the voice behind "stoic" protagonist Kliff, Alec Newman (Cyberpunk 2077), was as confused by its nature as many players. Read more Read more

I’m 66 and the thing I learned too late isn’t that I should have traveled more or worked less — it’s that I spent forty years waiting for permission to want things

I know what I was supposed to say when I got to this age. Travel more. Work less. Spend more time with the people who matter. Worry less about what everyone thinks. These are the regrets people name in the interviews and the memoirs, the ones that turn into quotes on motivational images. I nodded ... Read more Read more

Read more

"It's all of us against apathy, entropy, and loss of art" - Stop Killing Games has reached the EU Parliament, but what happens now?

Late February, the Stop Killing games initiative landed in Brussels. There, members of the European Parliament met with those looking to keep video games playable in an era which seems defined by a constant string of end-of-life notices, be it Anthem or Highguard. Meetings with MPs and a press conference were conducted, as the online movement entered infamously treacherous waters: parliamentary politics. Read more Read more
