Well, this update was supposed to bring "production-quality" improvements, which means it's part of Microsoft's efforts to fix its AI enshittification. Ironically, the update won't even install for most users and has since been pulled with no workaround ready so far.

It's safe to say Crimson Desert is a success with 3 million copies sold (so far) and substantial patches coming in hot. But it's hard to fix a narrative and quest structure that was described as "fatally undercooked" by Lewis Gordon in Eurogamer's own review. Now, we've learned the voice behind "stoic" protagonist Kliff, Alec Newman (Cyberpunk 2077), was as confused by its nature as many players. Read more Read more

I’m 66 and the thing I learned too late isn’t that I should have traveled more or worked less — it’s that I spent forty years waiting for permission to want things

I know what I was supposed to say when I got to this age. Travel more. Work less. Spend more time with the people who matter. Worry less about what everyone thinks. These are the regrets people name in the interviews and the memoirs, the ones that turn into quotes on motivational images. I nodded ... Read more Read more

Read more
