Tecno Spark 50 5G teaser image posted, the phone is coming soon

Tecno India shared a first official glimpse of the Tecno Spark 50 5G on its Instagram account. You can just about see the corner of the phone, but the bigger reveal here may be the name.

The previous generation almost exclusively featured 4G phones, e.g. the Spark 40 was powered by a Helio G81 or a G91 chipset. Even the Pro+ only had 4G connectivity with its Helio G200 chipset. It was only the Spark Go that did 5G with its Dimensity 6400 (the Go was called “Spark 40 5G” in some regions).

Read more

First One UI 9 test build for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks, here's what it looks like

Samsung launched One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra last month. Despite the fact that this version hasn't even made it to older Samsung devices yet, the Korean company is now already testing One UI 9, which is based on Android 17. [#InlinePriceWidget,14456,1#] Google has released some beta builds of Android 17 already, so the timeline isn't really that surprising. The first build of One UI... Read more

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and the 'wide Fold' will both have bigger batteries than the Fold7

The Samsung Galaxy Fold line has had the exact same 4,400 mAh battery capacity since the Galaxy Z Fold3, which came out in 2021 - and, funnily enough, the Fold2 from 2020 actually had a bigger 4,500 mAh battery. This situation is ridiculous when you look at what Chinese foldables can offer in terms of battery capacity these days, and apparently Samsung is finally going to do something about it.... Read more

The Indian Oppo A6s is the global Oppo A6x, because why not

Oppo's A6 family is absolutely, utterly ridiculous at 21 members (so far). A lot of these are the same device under slightly different names for different markets, because Oppo probably thinks the Internet isn't global or something like that. This is by far the most confusing lineup we've ever come across. Case in point - there's already an A6s which launched in January, but now it's coming to India with... Read more
