The Amazon Appstore for Android will be killed off on August 20, the company has officially announced today. Starting on that day, you will no longer have access to it on your Android device. It's unclear what exactly will happen - will the app simply stop working or will it throw a notice that the app store is discontinued? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Amazon is also killing the Amazon Coins program on the same day, so if you have any, you'll need to use them by August 20. As of today Amazon Coins.
