With Dragon Age: The Veilguard's October release looming, BioWare is starting to discuss the finer details of its latest fantasy RPG. And its newest deep-dive provides a look at how progression will work for protagonist Rook and the companions they'll meet along the way. Rook's progression systems won't, it has to be said, be much of a surprise to anyone that's had even the faintest brush with a video game... Read more ›

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 review - a thunderous triple-A spectacle that's truly electric in co-op

I've always been wary of people who say about a game "It's better when you play it in co-op" because virtually every activity is improved by the presence of friends. Cleaning the sink is more fun when you've got one to three pals monkeying around in the kitchen with you, tossing you extra sponge-scourers and reviving you when you faint because of the thing you just pulled out of the... Starfield's Series S performance modes are worthwhile - but not as impactful as Series X equivalents

Starfield's 30fps frame-rate target on consoles proved controversial at the game's launch, despite the game's impressive world complexity. That all changed in May of this year when the game was updated with support for 40fps, 60fps, and unlocked modes on Series X, though the performance level was understandably a little bit variable. Series S was left out in the cold, with players on Microsoft's pint-sized console still left with a... Read more ›

Aquarius follows on July's behemoth Worlds Part 1 update, which introduced a significant planetary refresh for No Man's Sky's vast universe. That... Read more ›
