After 27 years, Super Mario 64's last remaining locked door has finally been opened

An unopenable door in Super Mario 64 - thought impossible to pass through without the use of mods - has finally been prised open. The door in question can be found within the game's infamous penguin level - you know, the one where you definitely didn't yeet the baby penguin off the mountain. There, a log cabin can be found with a door that opens outwards - but that's impossible... Read more ›

Indika review - a dark, surreal, and devilishly playful drama

Indika, unhelpfully for a desperately devout Orthodox nun in early 19th Century Russia, is in communion with the Devil. Or maybe she just isn't as piously pure of thought as she'd like to believe. In the slippery, shifting world of Indika (I'm talking about developer Odd Meter's wonderfully confounding platform adventure now, not the character - brace yourself for some back-and-forth there), disorientating, uneasy ambiguity reigns over all.Which isn't to... Helldivers 2 Star Wars mod looks like the Battlefront 3 we never got

There is a Star Wars mod for Helldivers 2 out there and it looks brilliant. The mod in question was shared over the weekend by ToastedShoes, whose name you may recognise from that PC Pokémon mod for Palworld. And, while they say it brings Clone Wars to Arrowhead's shooter, there is something about it that makes me think of Battlefront 3, and what that could have been. Hmm...Anyway, I will bring... No Case Should Remain Unsolved finds truth in distorted memories

Memory is one of the mind's greatest mysteries. There's no consensus on how it works or what memories even are. I once read about how a memory could simply be a recollection of the last time you thought about that memory. It struck me as being a very sorrowful idea, and one that combines neatly with a personal belief: true death is when the last person who remembers you dies.... Read more ›

Penny's Big Breakaway is a perfect blend of old-school platforming and brilliant innovation

Let's great straight to it - Penny's Big Breakaway is one of the best platform games I have ever played. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this game to the point that even months on from its original release date, I still think about and play it regularly. It's the kind of game where within the first few minutes, you instantly know you'll be playing and replaying for years to... Read more ›

After burning incredibly brightly for a short while, it feels like Content Warning's star might be dimming rather quickly now.
