Fallout 76's Skyline Valley update certainly isn't short on sights and sounds to tempt you from the comfort of its six-year-old Appalachia map. Bolted onto the southern reaches of the Savage Divide running down the centre of the map, the newly added Shenandoah region has a giant, ominous vortex swirling up into the sky for starters, and on approach, the air itself starts turning a distinct shade of very evil-looking... Citizen Sleeper 2 goes even harder on its RPG roots with its bold new twists on its tabletop dice rolls

At first glance, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector looks and feels just like the original we know and love. As I catch up with the sequel's new, standalone android protagonist and their fellow shipmate Serafin on the small space station of Hexport, the most important tasks on their agenda have a pleasing familiarity to them: get some cash, stock up on supplies, and poke your nose in with the locals.... You may be stuck behind a PC terminal, but The Operator is my dream FBI fantasy

You know the fantasy already. An FBI agent calls their office to have someone run a check on a piece of information. It might be a person's name, a car licence plate, or some surveillance footage. Whatever it is, the person on the other end of the line has to do some invisible wizardry and then return the pertinent facts to the agent, fast. The agent then hangs up and... Read more ›

A date with Path of Exile 2: a new class, smoother onboarding, and the reason why this had to be a sequel

It's important to understand that before I got my hands on Path of Exile 2 I had been travelling for 15 straight hours, including a long plane delay and then an aborted landing attempt that made me genuinely fear that I was going to feature in the next Boeing horror story. As a newcomer to what will soon be the Path of Exile series, I was already daunted by its... Read more ›

Whisper it, but Dragon Age: The Veilguard has me thinking the unthinkable: it looks like BioWare is back

Right, let's get all the negative stuff out the way first. One: I'm not sure about the new name. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was much cooler than Dragon Age: The Veilguard.Okay!
