35 malicious apps change their icons and names to serve ads

Meditation app sessions dropped 48% since pandemic

The number of user sessions of the top 10 meditation apps fell sharply by 48% in Q2 2022 compared to the same period in 2020.  According to data from app experts Apptopia, sessions of top apps such as Calm and Headspace were down 26% and 60%, respectively.  And although this had an effect on revenues of competitors, Calm and headspace still grew their revenues by around 18% and 13%, respectively.... Spotify MAUs grow 20% in Q2 2022

One in 10 Spotify mobile installs are power users who open the app every day finds Q2 2022 data from Sensor Tower. Retail brand app downloads fell 7% in Q2 2022

Half of consumers are using apps to book travel

Half of app users say in-app customer support is being neglected

Meta announced it will go ahead with testing backups of end-to-end encrypted chats for Messenger and Instagram despite protests from policymakers.
