The average price of in-app purchases on the iOS App Store rose a whopping 40% year-on-year in the US during July 2022, finds new data from app experts Apptopia. Meta is playing catchup as TikTok leads for entertainment

Mobile consumers prefer in-app rewards and video ads

In-app rewards are a strong motivator for consumers on mobile devices according to new research from Tapjoy and ironSource. The latest Modern Mobile Consumer 2022 found that 70% of consumers surveyed in mobile games and 78% of controls downloaded apps after viewing mobile ads. 21% of them were receptive to video ads and around 36% to in-app rewards. 79% of mobile app downloads come from top 1% of publishers

The top 1% of app publishers generated 79% of downloads on the Apple App Store and Google Play during H1 2022 according to the latest data from Sensor Tower. Apple’s advertising business has benefitted from the company’s App Tracking Transparency according to a new report from InMobi’s Appsumer platform.  Apple’s Search Ads business grew 4 percentage points to almost 95% year-on-year, approaching the Facebook-Google duopoly. Brand app adoption jumps 13% in second quarter 2022

Brand apps adopted 13% more users in Q2 2022 compared to the previous year according to the latest data from Sensor Tower. Based on the analysis of the top 50 brands in the US, apps on the App Store reached 56 million installs and 29 million on Google Play.
